Dale, to answer your question about windows in kitchens... I'm not an architect, but there could be something about supporting walls, etc. From an visual point of view, however, more goes on in a kitchen than simply preparing food. Watching a team prepare a meal can be better than cool television. ...

I use Binder bread for a few reasons. When I was opening back in 11/10, no one from Leidenheimer would return my initial inquiry calls. Also, one of my first acquaintances here is a Binder and introduced me to the breads personally. I'll never get used to the airy, pillowy bread that French bread...

It's that time again! I'm serving a very traditional sicilian pasta dish - Pasta con sarde e finnoccio - pasta with sardines and fennel. My mom would only make this for the feast of St. Joseph...but I'm doing it daily (or as long as my very hard to come by bronze-cut percatelli holds out)...Goes g...

Just a head's up....we got our liquor license on Monday. I'm slowly compiling a wine list. We're serving already, but mostly tasting and trying to see what works best. We've got beer and spirits as well. Now I just need to build a bar area!

Sweet Fried Calzones - filled with ricotta, candied fruit and chocolate chips! These are a special christmas traditional desssert, but also great for breakfast!

Lou and I just returned from 8 days in San Francisco, Napa and Sonoma! Lots of dining research ;) ;) ;) has given me lots of ideas for some new specials and possibly some new regulars! Gorgeous weather, wonderful food and gallons of wine! We'll be reopening on Friday, regular hours.
