I just spent 16 minutes listening to George Jones explain how he missed his first gig in NOLA by speeding through to the Gulf Coast and getting busted for speeding. Guess that was the first show for "No-show Jones".

This is a website launched by the Louisiana Office of Tourism for visitors to sample the states musical offerings and plan musical themed vacations. You can poke around now, and see the top 25 list of songs for Louisiana artist, see some clips of various acts, and hear 16 minutes of George Jones (who I did not even know came out of East Texas/Beaumont).

I hope they keep building on this site.

When was George Jones stopped for speeding? I wonder because I used to patrol I-10 and U. S. 90 on my motor sikkle and I hardly ever let anyone "go". One of the few lucky ones was Gia Maione, Louis Prima's wife. I knew she was on her way home from the hospital when Louis was dying. She had no idea why I let her go.

Hey Ersta, thanks for sharing. I know this evening I'm going to run through the whole site from start to finish.
