I have got a lot of dill growing in my garden, so I guess I should I should make some Dilly Bread. I made the starter Friday. 1/2 cup rye flour and 1 cup white whole wheat flour, 1 cup of potato water, and a pinch of yeast. This what it looked like Saturday before making the dough.

I might not use all of this dill, but.

Dough ball is made and will go in the refrigerator till Sunday morning. Besides the fresh dill, I added dill seed and caraway seed to the dough. I used yogurt whey for the rest of the liquid.

Sunday morning out the fridge and looking good.

Sunday afternoon and a good little rise. That is a 7 quart mixing bowl.

I thought I took photos of shaping and slashing, but not. Out the oven and cooling on the rack.

Brushed egg wash on top and added more caraway seeds before going in the 425 deg oven for baking . Taste test tomorrow morning.

This loaf came out very good. Had a hard time stopping eating more slices with butter. Had a decent sour and I love caraway seeds, along with dill seed and fresh dill.
