I looked for the "crawfish guy" app Google Play and it is not there. They don't even have an app called crawfish. As I was driving to Port Arthur on Sunday I saw a billboard advertising an app in the Lafayette/Scott area but did not see what the name of the app was or if it was available for Droids either. That would be too cool to have an app that is kept up to date for crawfish. I could never imagine saying there was an app for crawfish. Thanks

ilikenola, I downloaded the app from itunes. It works great. It's apparentely only available for use in iphone/ipad format and not available for other formats at this time. The app can also be accessed thru itunes at the home website. http://www.thecrawfishguy.com
Edited Addition: I have not checked the app for accuracy yet. If it turns out the pricing is not up-to-date, it will not be very useful and I'll delete it.
I have been checking the app since I downloaded it and there has been no change in prices in any of the retail outlets, and when I have bought crawfish they were cheaper than the advertised price on the app.
It appears that they don't update it at all. I will be deleting it.

PaulaRat and I were in The District the other evening. We had dinner at a new place called Pearl Dive. The dozen raw to start were small, cold, and delicious, but not briney enough. My duck and oyster gumbo, a combo I had never had before, was excellent: a very thick, rich, full-of-stuff broth, chunks of duck, and 4 or 5 oysters. Paula's crab cakes were quite good, but hers are better. The Abita Amber was $2.50 a pint! Good place, great food but, as always in D. C., pricey except for the beer at happy hour.
The reason for posting on this thread is that they are having an all-you-can-eat-and-drink crawfish boil on April 14. We will pass: judging by our recent dishes the boil should be top-notch, if not up to The Camp's standard, but it's sixty dollars a person! As Mr. Lake can attest, I can down a lot of bugs and brew, but $60? Wow!
