Does anyone know where you can buy the mini-muffuletta bread or the regular size? I'm going to call some of the places I know sell trays of them to see if I can buy just the bread. My sister has olive salad that someone made and wants to make mini-muffs this weekend.

We use a 6" muff from Leidenheimer to create mini or cocktail muffs. The muff is made as usual and then cut them in 6ths. Easier to make and better presentation than the cocktail muffs served at receptions.

I would be glad to order some for you, 2 per pack.
Let me know by Thursday for Saturday pickup.

Hi Do Bakery on Terry Pkwy.
Min order is 2 doz & need to order 24 hrs in advance.

I have used a reg size muff bread & cut into finger sandwich
sized rectangles with great results.
It's easy to assemble just 1 sandwich.
I cut it with an electric knife.

Oh! And just a FYI:
Hi Do has bread bowls.
I think 5" & 7". Same - order 24 hrs in advance.
IIRC, 2 doz minimum.

Dorignac's has the large ones almost all the time. I got 2 just yesterday for muffs tonight.

Zuppardo's regularly carries the large. I've never seen the small there but I like Chef's idea.

I like both Dorgnic's and Zuppardo's muffuletta bread. They both are freshly baked in the store and have a good taste.

The problem I've had lately with assembled muffuletta's I've purchased is the muff bread is not good - it's stale. I prefer to buy my own meat, cheese, and olive salad, freshly baked bread and assemble my own muffuletta at home. Very few places have good muffuletta's nowdays IMO.

Thanks everyone. And thanks Chef for the offer, I'll remember it for next time. But I need these for when I leave town tomorrow morning. I'll stop by Zuppardo's since it's closer and go to Dorignac's if they are out.
