...Recently put up a wax about how I “tricked” Mrs. C. with a cyber/virtual Mothers Day gift.

…Well, shoot, as it turns out, I wondered if My Girl knows anyone who works for the postal system, and was in collusion, ‘cause as I tried to catch up on postal mail, there it was: The May edition of Renaissance Publishing’s edition of New Orleans Magazine: Pretty as you please and scrumptious-looking, the cover page offered up a come-hither shot of a Shrimp Creole dish. Dammmmmmmmmit!!!!

…Editing-room props to the food photographer and Mr. Laborde & Co., ‘cause with that cover shot , I wanted to eat paper!!...Collusions, and tricks, I tells ya!...Oh. And the postal worker gets no noel gift!

Sound likes time to shop for swimps! Or if the medical condition won't allow them, gitcha some nice fish and substitute with a courtboullion. Swimps got some cholesterol, but fish in red gravy can't be that bad for you.

...Done deal: I hopped as I shopped for some swimps: Found some beauties; a bit pricey tho, for this time of year, but well worth the errand. Oh. Picked up some very nice Talapia filets: Them babies will be headed to a brown-butter sautee. 8-) Regards!

Speaking of Tilapia, I went to buy some catfish and the price was "pretty freakin' pricey" for catfish. So I bought some of those quick frozen talapia filets. They thaw in minutes and are actually QUITE good with a little meuniere sauce.
