I mustn't get out enough. Yesterday at the Wal-Marts I spotted this giant, bigger than my hand pork rind in a bag. Just think, I could say I only ate one:

No, it wasn't a fluke, there was another bag there with the same sized piece. This is Big Ass pork rinds. I never have seen anything but small ones so I was surprised.

I do believe such things are Hispanic in nature. I saw a food network progam that went to a grocery serving hispanic food and they showed them frying these huge pork skins.

I've had chicharron here in town at Pupuseria Divino Corazon, but it was crumbled up like a garnish on a side dish of boiled yuca, salsa and kind of a pickled cabbage.
