For me, it depends. There aren't many I don't like. Among my favorites, in no particular order, are cherry, strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, blackberry, peach, pineapple, grape, black currant, and once in a while, orange marmalade. Nowadays the only kind I buy is the "no sugar added" kind, which is still not that good for me.

In my younger days, during my travels through Asia, it seemed every hotel restaurant's idea of American breakfast included toast with butter and marmalade. It didn't matter whether it was north Thailand, Nepal, Burma, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, or the Philippines. The toast came with marmalade. It got old. I blame the Brits.

But don't expect me to eat fig preserves. We got burned out on them as kids because that was the only kind we had. Our dad loved them, his sisters in SW Louisiana canned them especially for us because we were stuck in the city without good country food, and our dad wouldn't buy any jams or jellies from the store when we had all these wonderful jars of figs, home-canned with love. We kept them in a cabinet above the refrigerator, the cabinet you couldn't open because of all the things on top of the refrigerator, so when our aunts came to visit and explored the kitchen cabinets, they wouldn't see that we weren't eating their fig preserves. Finally one of the cousins found and shared a recipe for a heavy ginger cake that called for a quart of fig preserves, and we all liked the cake, so we were able to catch up and keep up with the supply.

Once in a while they would put up some watermelon rind preserves or pears, both of which were quite nice, but it's been 50+ years since I've had or even seen either of those.

Again, I may be in another rut, but while I have tried so many types of jellies and preserves, my favorite is grape preserves.

I don't have a favorite. I really don't eat jelly/jam that often. I still have home preserves from my Nephew in the cupboard from a few years ago. I do wish he would send me some more of his blueberry jam and rhubarb jam. I do need to open a jar of his apple jelly from his apple trees.

Any chance you have a recipe you can share? I would love a good home recipe.

I think I like every kind of jam or jelly I've ever tried. I always have about 6 kinds in the fridge at any given time. I had toast this morning with butter and peach preserves.
