I have great respect for the place; though it is by osmosis. Never got there for eats; but my link to the place comes via having met up with Occifer CopCop; Mrs.Fury, and Our lovely Hostess Mr.Lake and her Sweetums.

The place never came up; but the then-chef's name did-- a name I recognized as having torqueing tastes to their tops, as he hld forth at Bella Luna. Thus, another re-wind.

I don't know if Lake Wobegone offered up any seafood or not; but I do hold that some of these writers need to see more than a Rolodex when writing. Abut anything. And especially when writing about seafood. Why can't they see?

This really pains me, waaaay more than Y'awll know; but I'll try and leave things at that.

Thus, This, this, this -- https://www.msn.com/en-us/foodanddrink/ ... p#image=51 -- is "The Rest Of The Story."

Frank, this sounds like my kind of place. I'm a big fan of New Orleans neighborhood mom and pop restaurants where you can get consistent, high-quality, comfort food like "ya mamminem yoosta" cook, along with a few selections that are a little more fancy. I might have to try Liz's next time I'm overby my brother's house near Folsom.

It was somewhat surprising that the author of the msn article chose "Middenhorst's" as the best seafood restaurant in Louisiana. Imho, just about every waterfront town in the state has a world class seafood restaurant, based on the freshness of the seafood and the respect and skill with which it's prepared. And then there are the great restaurants that aren't on the waterfront. I will say that Middendorf's has a long history that chef Horst did a good job of reviving after K, although my visits there did not wow me. If I had to pick one best seafood restaurant in the state, I would recuse myself because I don't dine out all that much, and there are just too many excellent contenders.

Well frank; it is more like 'thanks for your input.' And, frank, you do not receive a "Go" Pass for irony, automatically.

See, it is because (even if it ain't the same place Liz), I must re-wind to a fave United Cabbie driver -- and a wonderful friend and person -- who almost went into spasms as he drove while giving props to a North Shore place, where there was a redhead woman and hubby who offered some food for whatever might ail a body! If frank, howsomever, it is the same place, you, Good Sir, can have my cabbie's cell: He and his fambly yoosta all love to take day trips to da nawth'show!
