[quote="tigersbh"]>Puns clearly intended...

Dat's our man Ben, alright! :lol:

"I also like them in a Dairy Queen Blizzard...."

Now you done went and grabbed a tiger by the tail, tigersbh when you mentioned Dairy Queen! Heck, my good buddy, you'll have Forumites clawing at us for even mentioning chains. (Tee, dammiit, hee!)

But what they hey; t'aint no shame :) 8-) in my game: As more irony abounds: A former Dallas tee-vee network affiliate reporter, Bob Phillips (who still does bits on what appears to be a commissioned basis, was once a spokesperson for Dairy Queen. Knew Bob well.)

But I also know (Yeah, that'll like be me, waving, when Y'awll roll up into a Dairy Queen) Yumsgalore for those steak finger baskets -- and I'll pay extry for another cuplet of that white gravy; plus some extry toast points, suitable for dipping. And still on my to-try list: They've got a tee-vee ad blitz on a relatively new menu item -- chicken-n-dumplings. Word from the streets is that 'They are da bomb.' And I like it when 'words come.' An aside on DQ: An MIA poster, Tchoupitoulas, from down around Lafayette, LA yoosta crow so much about DQ that some swore she was a spokeperson for the chain.

But (and in case you did not see the post or that game) am proud to say that in Game 5 of the World series, Astros' SS, Mr. Bergman, was quite a star: he drove in the winning run to clinch that game. Young Mr. Berman is a grad of LSU, and was termed a baseball phenom while in college there. (and, p-s-s-s-t: I'll keep my garage sale-quality crystal ball: Astros in 7, and a low-scoring win. Better keep so I can pay for treats when visit)

Meanwhile when ya get to Dallas, perhaps we can do like those characters who pitch for sonic and hang out at a Dairy Queen, for, for true, A DQ Blizzard. Peanut Butter, will be my choice.

As ever, so nice to "see" ya, good buddy. Be safe; and be well: Ben, waving at'cha!

In September my bride and I spent a long honeymoon weekend (second anniversary, third honeymoon, but who's counting?) at the West Bestern in Eunice, LA. It's right next door to a DQ. We had only one meal there, but many desserts. One time I asked the manager for a B-lizard, not one of those A-lizards. Before I could tell him what flavor (not Reese's, something with lots of chocolate), he doubled over laughing.

HA! I forgot about that unwritten rule against chains!

I've been wanting to try the chicken and dumplings. That would be a nice, cheap lunch if they are tasty.

Yes, Game 5 was the first World Series game I watched this year. I stayed up until it was over, and Bregman rewarded me for it! Nice prediction on that game 7, btw.

HA HA! Hopefully we won't be quite the nerds they are.

Chawlie, that's some funny stuff.
