Please tell me how these TV commercials get 20 tomatoes on these plants all at one time? Tree Tomato and Topsy Turvy Hanging Tomatoes make it look like you'd have a virtual tomato farm with just two plants! Grrrrrrr!

I am going to try to grow the upside down tomatoes but I will not buy the paraphanalia. I will use a dark bag to soak the sun rays. Plant it, Let it get established and then hang it. PS Meri & I thought that grape tomatoes would be the thing to try.
I am looking forward to the day I can start having sliced fresh tomatoes with meals. And we've been out of chili sauce for a few months now, so I can't wait until I can buy a five gallon bucket of tomatoes to make a batch of that. It's hard to eat peas without it!

I tried the grape tomatoes last year and got nothing. Hope you have better luck. You are right about making your own hanging container. Good luck. So far, I still have to blooms on my creole.

What TV commercials? I don't recall seeing tomato plants on a commercial.
I wish I liked tomatoes. God knows I have tried and tried. I may eat one slice on a turkey sandwich or tuna sandwich but I still pick them out of my salad. When I lived with Dennis and Janis after "the thing", I always knew where I was sitting b/c there was one salad on the table with no tomatoes.
Ya know, the tomato never really took off as a hand fruit- George Costanza
