Someone told me once that there are young ones in Chicago that have never seen a cow or horse. That is just sad.

I brought a pear to work once and the receptionist (22 yr old) said, "What's that?" When I told her it was a pear she had never heard of it. I asked her if she wanted to taste it and she refused.

Cashier at Rouse's in Slidell, trying to charge us for a couple of artichokes, "what is this?". We said, "it's an artichoke.". She said, "I thought they only came in cans."
