Is there a reason that you have Nostalgia in a category by itself? The way I view the forums, I click on the category name so that I can see all the new posts in one place rather than having to individually view each forum separately. I almost never read Nostalgia because since it's by itself, I forget about it. I would think that Nostalgia lends itself to Living since history/nostalgia is a part of everyday life.

Just wonderin' . . .

I made a special category (History) in which I placed the Nostalgia forum because...well...it just seemed to me to belong there. However, your suggestion to place it under Living (and you're right, history is a part of everyday life in New Orleans) makes sense, especially if it makes navigation easier.

A way not to miss ANY new posts (no matter which forums they are posted to) is to use the "View New Posts" link near the top center of every page. You must be logged-in to see the "View New Posts" link.

Sometimes I don't do such a good job of explaining. I meant to put Nostalgia as a forum inside the Living category, eliminating the separate category History since Nostalgia was all that was in it. The way you've got it now, it still makes Nostalgia separate and its posts don't show up in the Living list.

The reason I don't use View New Posts is because I want to see all posts that have responses I haven't read, not just new ones. I find that most convenient with the least amount of having to go back and forth by just clicking on the main category name.

Anyway, I hope I did a better job this time of explaining what I meant about Nostalgia. Sorry to be such a royal pain when I was really just trying to be helpful.

Does it work for you now?

Keep it up, IM. I like not being the only one. ;)

Beautiful, Lake! Thank you! You might want to put it in alphabetical order like the rest of the forums, though.
