Grew up Metairie and lived in Progressive Jefferson Parish (is that still painted on the watertower at Causeway and I-10?) for 32 years. Transferred to Tulsa, Oklahoma through my job and have been in Oklahoma for 20 years. I'm now a naturalized Okie, but have retained my Yat citizenship, so I'm an OkieYat.

Spousal was born in Germany and called me Schatze. It means treasure so treasure me folks. That's why I share the name with a million doxies, rotties and German shepherd dogs.

Although I'm an expatriate of New Orleans, the "northernmost banana republic", since 1991, I'll always be an orleanian, hence expatorleanian. It really hurt my feelings when I had to get a Mississippi drivers' license!
