As news of the recent tragic occurrence during a Carnival parade unfolds, I am moved to write here some words of encouragement and hope: To Any here affected personally or through a family member or friend, I send prayers. And since words of hope, in the form of prayers, can transcend invisibility, I also send these prayers to those who cannot see this and are not familiar with this Forum-- to them and their loved ones. And -- especially! -- prayers aplenty to those injured in the attack.
The good news, if you will, out of this dastardly, disdainful deed is that the perpetrator (and hoping he is the lone despot in this) is in custody! Period. Amen.
Herewith, I salute The City Of New Orleans, an enclave of People who, for far too often, have had to muster a collective resiliency. Still, as before, I hope and pray that the proven grit, the staying power, the can-do/will-do attitude -- indeed, that resiliency -- will rise to the fore!
