Thank you! No cake for me yesterday. My Sweetie was away from home. She will be flying back home today. Cake will be had by all. Today, April 5, is the one day each year that my older sister and I are the same age. She will be a year older starting tomorrow.

Thanks. We had much fun all weekend. My Sweetie baked a malted milk cake in Minnesota for me and brought it home with her on the plane. It was malted milk cake with malted milk icing with malted milk balls on top. Very good. I had left the front door opened during some of the bad weather during the week. I walked into the living room to find a large scared puppy sitting there looking pitiful. He had been hanging around the neighborhood for a couple of days. He was very sweet. He looks like part Catahoula and part Great Dane. He has a strange mohawk on his back. He was starving so we gave him some of our emergency puppy rations. He ate the food and also the paper plate that it was served on. He spent some time inside out of the rain and hail. He was very polite and did not jump on the furniture without asking first. I taught him how to play fetch with a tennis ball which he really enjoyed though he tired easily due to his lack of food. The shelter lady came and picked him up on the 5 th. I hope that he gets a great place to live. He is very nice dog. He will be huge when he is fully grown. His visit was a nice birthday present.
