Joe's was supposed to continue under new ownership. If that happened I hope they kept the old recipes. The crawfish bisque (WITH stuffed heads) and crab cakes were classics!

Here's the story of the name: http://katzwhite.com/P/DorisP1.html

One of the prettiest Louisiana drives I've taken is along LA 77 parallel to Bayou Grosse Tete between the town of Grosse Tete and the town, not the Parish of, Plaquemine.

I think it's wonderful when someone finds the place they want to be. I saw that look on the face of my host last night at his new camp on Lake Catherine. I hope to have that look on my face when I have a place with a mountain view.

As for the trailers, if you pull them side by side they may assume the look of a double wide and thus have more cachet. ;)

For inspirational trailer music, try this:

http://www.unhitched.com

This is the website for the Trailerpark Troubadours, and you can get to some videos from there. They are the band we went cruisin' with in Feb. Just fun goofy rock and roll. And a little bit of more serious singer-songwriter stuff.

Hell, we already got a double-wide. And a single.

Hey with all that, you can rent out rooms to recoup some of your refurb money!

In Oklahoma, that would be all you'd need for a bed and breakfast.

Of course if you converted one to a high-rise, Schatze might get her mountain view.

Lake your pics are so relaxing I could fall asleep at my computer. I mean that in a very good way!

One day we'll all fall asleep out there after a great party.

I think that meets FEMA height requirements, no?
