I woke up running to the bathroom at record speed. I didn't quite make it. I have thrown up twice, my cramps are back and I have a terrible headache from throwing up. Somebody shoot me.

Ummmmm, Maria, do you still have your appendix? If so and the cramps continue, I would get checked out. Symptoms of appendicitis are not necessarily as severe as they are in children and can masquerade as cramps. This is advice from someone who ignored it and spent ten days in the hospital to get rid of the peritonitis.
My dad just had an emergency appendectomy week before last. He's 73, still works a manual labor job and is in great physical shape. He had been having "stomach trouble" that he attributed to gas, acid reflux, and poor food choices. Also had some vomitting off and on. This was over a period of several months. Then it really hit him - vomitting and generally feeling like the stomach virus until the pain became excruciating. Mother had to take him to the ER about 930 that night, and thank goodness they had not burst.

Thanks. Just woke up again. Cramps are gone. Can't stop with the bathroom thing tho. No vomitting so far and my throat is so sore from the round this morning. My friend Shea popped in today to see me. Didn't know I was sick. I should have asked her to go get me a sprite. I think I have one San Pell left. That will be fizzy.
I have only eaten a little bit of leftover polenta. Kind of hungry but not a lot.
Isa, enzymes like probiotics? yogurt? I have some plain nonfat yogurt but the thought makes me gag.
I wish I had some mashed potatoes or chicken soup. Why do we crave that when we are sick? I could even do miso. Nope. Nevermind.

Have you got any immodium? Might be a good idea tho to just let it run its course rather than to try to stop it.
Miso soup - I am convinced it has medicinal powers. When I am traveling and am really tired, a bowl of miso soup really boosts me. Sadly, I can't get it here in Podunk, so I can't get it as often as I need it!
Hope you feel better soon, Sis.

Thank you, hon. I ate some angel hair with a little butter. Ugh. I feel sick again. I am drinking a cup of herbal tea and drinking my last bottle of San Pell on ice.
This sucks. I will go back to sleep soon.
