Here's a chance to search your memory for products or things that were destined to change the world and better humanity and then just faded away.....

I'll start with two.....

Chlorophyll It was the top advertised substance for several years. Added to everything. Green, green, green. Where is it now?

Lanolin It made sheep's wool curl in the rain. The hair substance of the century. Constant infomercials, maybe the first infomercials ever. Who uses it now?

Lanolin is used to treat skin burns from radiation therapy.

When they did my allergy tests years ago, they discovered I was allergic to lanolin. They were surprised that lotion does not break me out. But nickel, on the other hand, brings on the hives. Discovered it when I worked in surgery. Got all new equipment in my OR and my upper arms broke out. Turns out surgical steel contains nickel.
