I'm looking at replacing the windows in my 50 yo home. The cost is @ $7500 for 24 units.
Has anyone done this and if you have was it worth it?
I'm looking at comfort and cost saving as my old ones leak air like crazy.

Phil, I did it in my old 50+ year-old house and it was worth every penny. That house was snug as a bug after I did the replacement. I was able to get double-paned, argon filled windows in wood frames so they looked like they belonged on the house, yet they still provided the needed insulation. We even replaced a couple of huge windows in our newer house with windows that do everything but tap dance in the moonlight, replacing the contractor grade windows that were in here, and we can feel the difference in both summer and winter in those rooms.

We put in storm windows when we first moved in and it's worth every penny. Don't make the mistake I made tho, get the easy clean ones.
