Last year, I installed Firefox and Chrome. I like them both better than Explorer - they both seem to be a little quicker - especially when viewing Youtube videos.

This is the first time I've heard about Safari. Will have to check it out to see how it works.

David,
the first few years on the Internet, I had dialup. It was satisfactory for what I was doing. Then I got DSL and it make a world of difference and it didn't cost that much more. I'm now thinking about switching to cable service. I'm starting to watch a few more videos and the higher speed and better performance would be useful.

......I remember in the early days of the Internet seeing "This website is best viewed in Netscape" and things like that.

I also remember a browser named Prodigy. Netscape and Prodigy were the first browsers out there as I recall.

Dale - we had DSL years ago, then switched to cable. But after Katrina, when it took over four months to restore our cable, we switched back to DSL and then about 3 years ago we went with ATT uverse. We are really happy with it - it decreased our total cost for phone/TV/internet by about $100 a month. We pay for the extra high speed which appears actually to be extra high speed - no complaints so far.
