I don't have a favorite since I don't have a connection with either team. It will be nice to sit and relax and watch a good game...especially if it's a cliffhanger to the last second.

I have tenuous connections to both teams.

I have family roots in Baltimore, and we live an easy hour's drive from there, so the Ravens are almost local. By car, it's easier to get from here to the Ravens' stadium in Baltimore than to the Redskins' in Landover. Both are about an hour or three, depending on traffic, although there's a twenty mile difference in distance.

San Francisco is a favorite city of ours, and we have friends there, too. A 49ers win would make PaulaRat's boss happy, which couldn't hurt ;-)

My guess is that San Francisco will win, but it is certain that a Harbaugh will be victorious, which is kinda cool.

Getting closer to the game. Airport will be filling up with private jets. Can't we get a few more votes?

I simply don't have an opinion.

With the risk of being considered a nit-picker I want to add that the poll results won't indicate "how many are reading this forum". Anyone can read the forum but only registered forum members may vote .

If you want to know how many people actually read any particular post go to "View active topics" and take a look at "Views". This topic (THE GREAT SUPERBOWL POLE - VOTE!) at the time I'm posting this message had 73 views but only 5 people had voted in the poll. The poll apparently indicates that few members have an opinion about the ball game.

On a related note, thanks to all who have kept the Mr. Lake forums alive by regularly posting and responding here. Because we have active members we are one of the few old-time local forums (particularly as they relate to food topics) still busy with daily posts sharing information, photos, recipes, opinions, and all sorts of other stuff of interest to our members and visitors. It does my heart good that some old-timers stuck around and some new-comers joined in. Again, thanks to all who have contributed so much - or even a little. Every bit adds flavor and interest.
